17th November 2019: Team AKBM IKTBN TEMERLOH KBS Racing Team managed to secure P3 (3rd) in Class M1 at K car GLOBAL 2019 Sepang 24H Endurance last weekend with full of joy and excitements. The endurance started sharp at 12.00pm Saturday and ended 12pm Sunday 17th Nov 2019. With total of 16 AKBM Team drivers, 32 crews consist of Level 3 Motorsports 4 Wheel students and instructors were involved throughout the event. The team participated with 2 cars that compete in Class M1 (Radical Type Vehicle) a Perodua “Pickup” Edition Competition No. #55 and Class M3 (850cc NA) also a Perodua Kelisa RS with competition No. #15. Both cars were purposely maintained with front face of an identical PERODUA KELISA Generation 1 & 2 to make it more into Malaysian Car spirit. Both cars running extremely well without any major technical issues throughout the 24 hours of non-stop endurance.
This international event participated by various drivers’ origin such as from Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia. AKBM IKTBN TEMERLOH KBS Racing Team and vehicle preparations started in March 2019. With full effort from our students and instructors at AKBM towards this event both car finally fully prepared and tested in Sepang circuit on 21st Oct 2019 along with Team launched by our Chief Director of BPKB KBS YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Hajah. Wasitah Binti Haji Mohd Yusof.

ILKBS Design and Innovation Competition 2014 is an annual event that brings together young designers and innovators from ILKBS around the country. WSMB AND WSMP 2014
Youth World Skills Malaysia (WSMB) and Instructors World Skills Malaysia (WSMP) competitions are annual events organised to select and recognize expert students and workers with exceptional skills. This competition is held through 2 stages, namely the pre-qualifiers and final stages. This helps to enhance the human resource skills levels to a world class standard.
Youth World Skills Malaysia (WSMB) competition is an annual event organised to select and recognize expert students with exceptional skills. Participants winning the gold and silver medals are eligible to enter the Asean Skills Competition (ASC 2016) which will be held in Malaysia.
Asean Skills Competition (ASC) 2014 is the 10th Asean Skills Competition held at international level and involves Asean countries such as Brunei, Indonesia, Singapura, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines and Malaysia. This event was held on the 19th – 29th October 2014 at the National Convention Center Hanoi, Vietnam.
There were 25 different áreas which were contested. Airul Firham Bin Che Amran, a level 3 student from ILKBS Peretak, was awarded the gold medal in the Ladies’ / Men Hairdressing competition.
World Skills Competition (WSC) 2015 is the 12th World Skills Competition held at international level. This event involves 1200 participants from 60 countries contesting 46 different skill areas. Airul Firham Bin Che Amran, a level 3 student from ILKBS Peretak, was awarded the bronze medal in the Ladies’ / Men Hairdressing competition.
He was also recognised as the first Malaysian to win a medal in the WSC for 22 years in the Malaysian Book Of Records.
The PRIDE 2015 competition involves 70 entrants from both local and foreign primary school, secondary school, college and university levels. Among the activities concerned are robotic creations covering design, building and programming aspects. IKTBN Sepang was awarded with 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal in the college / university level.
Education Innovation of Motosports & Automotive Race (EIMARace) 2014 was organised by Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). This competition is based on innovative education in motorsports and automotive field and is supported by the Ministry of Works, Giat Mara, Altair, Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the Perak State Government.
The KBS MAM Kapcai Endurance National Championship 2014 is a national level kapcai motorcycle race and is the only motorcycle race with an Endurance concept. The final round involves 100c and below, 120cc and below and 135cc and below Kapcai engines in a 4 hour non-stop race. The ILKBS Chembong TJB Racing team was established in 2012, comprising students and instructors who are exposed to real motorcycle race engineering utilizing a Honda Wave 100cc in the 100c and below category.
Youth Skills Motorsport Academy – AKBM KBS (ILKBS Temerloh) with cooperation from KOSTAR Engine Oil through KOSTAR Motorsport Club Malaysia sponsored 2 cars in the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship 2014 Malaysia in line with the National Rally Championships – Malaysian Rally 2014.
In 2015, motorsports team Rally AKBM / IKBNT had once again joined the event through the participation of a race car in order to allow technical exposure for the students in related fields. The AKBM team consists of 5 officers and 20 level 3 4WD motorsport students as the team technicians and technical assistants. The opening and flag off ceremony was held near the Air Timbul Observation Tower which features a “Super Special Stage” mini circuit which is a unique and challenging feature for all the teams. This enables their vehicles to be tested in terms of endurance and Rally driving skills.
