Electronics Technology

The Electronics Course prepares youths for a career in the electronical engineering industry.

  • Advanced Certificate in Electronics Technology (Industrial)

    i. Course Description:


    Provide training for high school graduates with skills in Industrial Electronics based on electronics systems covering circuit and electronic hardware design and repair works. Students will also be exposed to aspects such as supervising, machine and hardware maintenance including automated controls. Upon completion, students will receive the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) awarded by the Department of Skills Development (JPK).


    ii. Career Prospects:


    Outstanding candidates in this field will be able to hold positions such as technicians or supervisors in the industry and as instructors at the Private Skills Training Institute (ILKS). In the public sector, graduates can qualify as vocational training assistant officers, electronics technicians and factory & machinery assistant inspectors.

  • DIploma in Electronics Technology (Industrial)

    i. Course Description:


    Provide training for high school graduates with skills in Industrial Electronics based on electronics systems covering circuit and electronic hardware design and repair works.   • DIploma in Industrial Electronics Technology

    i. Course Description:


    Provide training in theory and practical aspects for high school graduates with skills in Industrial Electronics Technology and guidance in developing an electronics based product/project. The skills acquired through this course along with creative inputs from instructors will be translated in the final project. To qualify for Level 3 SKM, students will need to complete all Level 2 and Level 3 SKM CoCU which are mapped in subjects from UTM. Upon completion, students will receive the Diploma in Industrial Electronics Technology, awarded by the University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) and Level 3 Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM), awarded by the Department of Skills Development (JPK).


    ii. Career Prospects:


    Outstanding candidates in this field will be able to hold positions such as assistant electronics engineers or technicians in the industry and as instructors at the Private Skills Training Institute (ILKS). In the public sector, graduates can qualify as vocational training assistant officers, electronics assistant technicians and factory & machinery assistant inspectors.
